The Friends of Petersfield Youth Theatre was set up in 1998 to provide support and encouragement to PYT. Membership costs £10 for a single person, or £15 for a family, and is renewable annually.

In return Friends get priority booking for our annual production. As all our shows sell out very quickly, and the Friday and Saturday evening performances are usually a favourite with friends and families of the cast, priority booking for Friends has become a big advantage. In addition we invite Friends to 'sit in' on occasional rehearsals to see how we work. This offers a fascinating insight into the rehearsal process and adds to the overall enjoyment of the show. Friends also receive Newsletters and are invited to workshop presentations and other PYT functions. All in all it is a wonderful way to feel part of Petersfield Youth Theatre, whilst supporting a very worthwhile charity.

The funds raised by Friends subscriptions are used to buy equipment that we might not normally be able to afford which contribute to the breadth of experience for our members. In the past we have purchased a music system which is used for rehearsals and workshops, and some wonderful music stands with halogen lights. Without the support of Friends, we would not have been able to set up and run this website, which is proving a valuable resource for spreading the news of what is happening at PYT.

We value our Friends' encouragement, and thank them for their support.

The Ron Bowler Memorial Fund

The Ron Bowler Memorial Fund was launched in November 2001 to support projects undertaken by PYT, and in recognition of the tremendous support that Ron gave to the Youth Theatre since its inception. Ron was guaranteed to be part of any of our events and could always be relied upon to be in the right place at the right time.
